This is a roll I shot for a class assignment using 3200 speed film. The first and last shots were taken randomly downtown as I wandered around before class, trying to kill off the roll. All the rest were taken in the old and moldy USO space at Spreckels. Went in to scan these at school but every single scanner was being dangly. Oh well, more DIY.

More songs about buildings and food.
The more advanced the photo classes I'm taking, the less my professors wanna see pictures of skateboarding and snapshots of my dumb friends. This leaves me with a dilemma cuz I'm not too interested in landscapes, fashion, or still lifes and I'm no good at fine art abstract-y shit. I am interested in architecture, however. I'm always lurking buildings for things to schralp and working downtown makes access super easy. I'm drawn to the honesty of urban desolation in the back streets more than swanky hotels and glitz of the Gaslamp quarter. I'm hoping to capture buildings, interspersed with shots of food/people eating to create a portfolio inspired loosely around the Talking Heads 2nd album. These are my first attempts at a cohesive photographic series.

Budget cuts
Budget cuts left skool pretty fucked. The campus has had to cut back the TA's hours from 72 to 3, leaving long checkout lines and severely cut access to equipment. Those saucy scanners I used last semester are locked away so I'm left having to get very DIY with my negatives.
Here's part of a roll I shot a couple weeks back. These are pics from my digi of the color negs shot under a light and white backdrop. I inverted the colors and cropped em down in post and Shazam! Hopefully I'll be able to scan again soon...
