Casey's nads vs. Icy Hot

This was back in 2005. I used this footage for the ending credits to Fuck a Film in 06. Best 4.5 minutes I ever filmed! Thanks to Jenki and the Arreolas for the epic commentary and to Casey for being so young and gullible.

Bummer

I was rummaging through my first external hard drive and found a crew dance montage/screen grab picture-tage/Jenki gets his azz beat vid I'd made in 2006. I upped it to youtube so I could put it on here but the tune-age broke copywrite and the vid became soundless and a drag within the first hour. Lame, but I guess Abba, SY and Game want their royalties and satire is no longer a valid claim for Fair Use. Good shit tho, maybe I'll add it as a bonus to Fuck Fuck Fuck!

Along with the already-edited montage were random clips from the pre-vx, super early Fuck days that I'll throw up here in a new-oldtage sometime in the future.

These were the early days when I'd first gotten my rebel. I only had a Zenitar fisheye back then so it equates to about 35mm with the Rebel's 1.6 crop. Not too fishy but it did the job.

Erik got the tailslide, of course. Both Van and Erik landed on the deck of the 3rd set. Totally counts tho!

New Camera!

I'm sorta bipolar when it comes to filming. I always enjoy documenting good times but some days the vx is just meant to stay in the bag. Enter a new medium: bro cam. None of the responsibility of maintaining expensive equipment and filming things decently when yr using a $40 hunk o' junk...a light weight and pocket-portable hunk o'junk at that. Nobody cares with bro cam! That very indifference intrigues me most. The purity of skateboarding is so often lost when consciously trying to film for a video. Hopefully my new toy allows me to capture the best of both worlds(Hannah Montana reference intended)

First post, Woooo!

This blog will serve as a photo/video dump and platform for my inane ramblings and music snobbery. I have tonz of images that never got sent out or made it onto flick'r that are probably still worth sharing. Sometimes the b-roll ends up being better(especially in hindsight) so this blog might have potential.

Hopefully I won't be "over it" by post three...
